We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the excellent care that was given to our mom, Mary. There are so many of you that deserve a personal thank you, but we don't want to miss anyone that provided mom with the quality of care she received on a daily basis.
We know by the outpouring of support that we received during mom's final struggle, that she was the favorite of many of you. One family member that experienced this over and over during her final day was very touched by the emotions shown through the countless hugs, kisses, wishes of farewell and tears shown by so many of the staff. We found great comfort that strangers that became mom's friends loved her as much as we do.
We thank you for the gentle, loving care that was provided for mom. The gentle bath times, the smiles, the conversations to make long days less of a struggle. Thank you for the pushes down the hallway when she was too tired and weak to do for herself. Thank you for allowing her to be as independent as she could be. Thank you for the warm touches to let her know she was loved. Thank you for the warm welcomes on her returns from the hospital. Thank you for treating her with dignity, respect and gentleness. Thank you for your patience as she struggled to voice her concerns and needs. Thank you for your understanding with the endless phone calls regarding her care. Thank you for the support you gave her family. Thank you for the frienships. Thank you for being blessings in moms life and in our lives.
We wish that each of you find comfor as well in knowing that you are a special gift to so many people. We pray that God will continue to keep you in his loving care and guide you as you provide the same care to other families loved ones.
God bless each of you.
Love from the family of Mary D.

Planned Giving at Stonehill Franciscan Services
The Stonehill Benevolent Foundation (SBF) provides financial assistance for needy residents of Stonehill Care Center, assists Stonehill Care Center in its general operations, generates and attracts substantial support from the public to receive contributions and grants, and holds, administers, converts, invests, reinvests and manages such contributions and grants for the benefit of Stonehill Care Center in various ways.
The Stonehill Benevolent Foundation supports Stonehill Care Center in its mission and efforts to provide care and related services for the elderly and their families. Programming is administered by the Sisters of St. Francis of Dubuque, who together with their committed staff and volunteers, lovingly offers Service, Care and Concern.
Over the years many have contributed to the success of Stonehill Franciscan Services, especially the partnerships with our church sponsors and the community at large. Stonehill Care Center is most grateful for their financial gifts which benefit our residents directly.
This support is critical to the continued success of Stonehill Franciscan Services. Gifts enable special services, facility improvements and many quality of life programs and encourage the mission at Stonehill Franciscan Services.
Several bequests, charitable gift annuity contracts, and charitable trusts have benefited both Stonehill Franciscan Services and donors over the years. The Foundation has provided significant operational funding for Stonehill Care Center historically. We are blessed to have this community support, due in great measure to the quality of care delivered by our staff.
Examples of gifts over the years include the following:
Other gifts can be given such as a Charitable Remainder Unitrust, a Charitable Gift Annuity, and/or a Charitable Lead Trust. Contact your personal financial planner for planning assistance.
